The Nigerian stock market started the week with a slight decline. About 613 million shares worth ₦32.56 billion were traded in over 71,000 deals.

Although the value of trades fell by 1% compared to the previous trading day, the number of transactions increased by 29%, showing that investors remained active.

The total value of all companies listed on the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) now stands at ₦159.5 trillion. The market's main index, the NGX All-Share Index (ASI), slipped by 0.05%. Despite this small drop, the market remains strong, recording gains of 0.43% over the past week, 8.25% over the past month, and 58.88% since the beginning of the year.
