🛡 At least 30 killed in fresh Southern Kaduna attack

At least 30 people were killed when gunmen attacked Naridon Village in Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State on the night of Sunday, July 26, 2026. Women and children were among the dead, and several houses were burned to the ground.

Residents say at least 30 bodies have been recovered, with fears the toll could rise as search efforts continue. A former councillor of Kamaru Ward, Jacob Nera, said attackers stormed the community around midnight, firing indiscriminately as they moved from house to house.

Community leaders and residents have called on the Kaduna State Government, the Federal Government, and security agencies to urgently deploy additional personnel to the area to prevent further attacks.
