Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Kwara State, Engr. Suleiman Kale Kawu, has outlined an ambitious development agenda centred on decentralised rural electricity, transparent governance, community policing and infrastructure renewal ahead of the 2027 election. Following a technical study visit to Europe, Kawu said his administration would deploy modular power stations in rural communities, establish a digital asset management system, create a government performance unit and introduce a public project transparency portal to improve accountability.
The former Rural Electrification Agency director also pledged to strengthen security through a Kwara Community Safety Corps, early warning systems and conflict mediation initiatives, while fostering partnerships with international engineering firms to drive sustainable infrastructure development. He said his vision is to deliver measurable results through innovation, transparency and effective public service.
