Please, as a single brother or sister, don’t in the name of faith marry someone whose genotype is incompatible with yours. That isn’t faith, it’s an avoidable risk. We have many children living with sickle cell disease today because their parents ignored medical facts, hoping faith alone would change genetics.

Your unwise decision today can become your child’s lifelong pain tomorrow. Faith and wisdom are not enemies. God has given us knowledge and medical understanding to help us make responsible decisions. Pray, trust God, but also know your genotype before marriage and make informed choices. Prevention is far kinder than lifelong regret.
