Peaceful protest is a legitimate way to demand accountability, but it should remain lawful and non-violent. If the evidence shows police misconduct, those responsible should face justice. If the evidence shows the use of force was lawful, that conclusion should also be accepted. The ultimate goal should be truth, accountability, and the protection of human rights, not inflaming tensions between Nigerians and South Africans.
