🪖 Nigerian troops rescue 48 kidnap victims in Zamfara

Troops of Joint Task Force North West, Operation FANSAN YAMMA, rescued 48 kidnapped victims after a terrorist attack on Magami village in Kaura Namoda Local Government Area of Zamfara State in the early hours of 26 July 2026.

The rescue was announced by Lt. Col. Aliyu Danja, Media Information Officer of the Joint Task Force, following what he described as a swift military response to the attack.

Zamfara State remains one of Nigeria's most affected regions by armed banditry and kidnapping, with Operation FANSAN YAMMA serving as the primary military force combating insecurity across the North West.
