🏥 Lassa Fever Kills 229 in Nigeria, 25 New Cases in One Week

Nigeria's Lassa fever outbreak has reached 229 deaths this year, with the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention confirming a fresh spike in infections.

The NCDC recorded 25 new cases in a single week across five states, with a healthcare worker among those infected. The outbreak has now spread across 23 states and 113 local government areas, with total confirmed cases standing at 936.
