Anambra Govt Orders 7 Schools To Refund Parents Over Illegal Graduation Party Fees

The Anambra State Government has directed seven private schools to refund all money collected from parents for graduation parties within one month after they were found to have violated the state's ban on such celebrations.

Commissioner for Education, Dr. Ekene Ogugua, warned that any school that fails to comply and provide evidence of the refunds will be sealed and shut down. He said the move is aimed at protecting parents from unauthorized levies and ensuring strict compliance with the state's education policies.

Affected schools:

1. Kings School, Amawbia

2. Paraiso Montessori School, Awka

3. Bluepoint School, Awka

4. Favour Dot Queen Academy, Awka

5. Little Angel British School, Aguleri

6. Handmaid Infant Jesus Nursery and Primary School, Awka

7. Frobel Height Academy, Awka
