I remember asking a question about pneumonia a few days ago, and many of you shared your opinions.
The question was: "Does sleeping with a fan or sleeping on the floor cause pneumonia?"
The correct answer is FALSE.
Sleeping with a fan or on the floor does not cause pneumonia. Pneumonia is a lung infection caused by bacteria, viruses, or fungi—not by cold air, a fan, or the floor.
I know many of us grew up hearing, "Don't sleep under the fan, you'll get pneumonia," but that's one of the most common health myths.
While cold air may make you feel uncomfortable or worsen symptoms if you're already ill, it doesn't cause pneumonia. The real cause is infection by germs.
This is why it's important to separate myths from facts. The more accurate our health knowledge, the better we can protect ourselves and our loved ones.
Thank you to everyone who participated. More interesting health questions are coming.
