@Toshor said You see how big your money is (NGN), exactly how useless it is.
Giant for Nothing.
Well, in my opinion,
The Naira wasn't created to be useless; it was made to have value. What we're seeing today is the result of years of economic challenges, inflation, exchange rate pressures, and policy decisions—not because the currency itself is inherently worthless.
There was a time when ₦1 had significant purchasing power and was stronger than many currencies. In the early years after the Naira was introduced, it was even worth more than one US dollar. Over the decades, that value declined due to a combination of economic factors.
So, instead of saying the Naira is useless, it's more accurate to say its value has depreciated over time. Currencies don't become weak overnight; people, policies, and economic realities shape their strength.
The lesson: A currency reflects the health of an economy. When the economy grows, the currency is more likely to grow with it.
