I need your legal advice. I paid a supplier in full for 125 bags of brown iron beans to supply my business. We agreed on a delivery date because I already had customers waiting, so I was confident everything would go as planned.

Just a few days before delivery, heavy rainfall caused serious flooding in the area where the supplier kept the beans. The warehouse was completely submerged, and all 125 bags meant for my order were destroyed. When I called him, he told me there was nothing he could do because the flood was beyond his control. According to him, since the beans no longer existed, he could not deliver them and should not be held responsible.

Now I am left stranded. I have paid for the beans, lost my customers, and my business has suffered. The supplier insists the flood has brought our agreement to an end. Please fans can a supplier rely on a natural disaster like a flood to avoid delivering goods that have already been paid for, or is he still legally required to refund my money or compensate me for my loss?
