My opinion on this is that a dialogue with Boko Haram can only be acceptable conducted from a position of overwhelming military strength, with strict disarmament, accountability, and serious economic investments to fix the root socio-political causes of radicalization. Now, the questions are:

■Has our military shown any sign of overwhelming strength over Boko Haram?

■Do we have the capacity and political will to ensure strict disarmament?

■Is there a commitment for accountability?

■Is the government ready and willing to fix the root cause of religious radicalism?
