21 Ex-Almajiri Children Set to Graduate as Tech Technicians

Twenty-one children who once survived by begging on the streets under Nigeria's informal Almajiri education system will graduate next week as certified technology technicians, trained to assemble drones, repair computers, and run their own businesses.

The graduation, scheduled for July 29 in Abuja, marks the first cohort to complete the Almajiri-to-Tech Initiative, a programme founded by Tim Akano, who also serves as managing director of New Horizons System Solutions Limited.
