The Super Falcons' preparations for the 2026 WAFCON have sadly been disrupted by an unfortunate incident off the pitch, with several players allegedly losing cash to theft at the team's hotel in Morocco.

Several players have alleged that money was stolen from their wallets while they were away from their rooms at the Marriott Hotel in Casablanca, Morocco.

Reported amounts include:

* Esther Okoronkwo – $700
* Rasheedat Ajibade – $200
* Osinachi Ohale – $100
* Joy Omewa – $120
* Halimatu Ayinde – $100

Okoronkwo confirmed the incident on her social media. "We started talking to them but they don't have any respect,” the Super Falcons forward wrote.

As of right now, morning of July 25, neither the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) nor the Marriott Hotel Casablanca have released an official statement regarding the incident or confirmed whether a formal investigation has been launched.
