๐ WHEN THE SIREN BECOMES A STATUS SYMBOL, NOT A LIFE-SAVER ๐จ
Nigerians, let's talk about something that happens EVERY SINGLE DAY on our roads...
That blaring siren you hear? It might NOT be an emergency. It could be:
โ A politician rushing to a wedding
โ A "big man" who doesn't want to sit in traffic
โ A private security convoy for someone with "connections"
โ Even a church or event "VIP" entourage
Meanwhile, a real ambulance with a dying patient is stuck in traffic because NO ONE believes the siren anymore.
THE BITTER TRUTH:
๐ Sirens are meant for EMERGENCIES only ambulances, fire trucks, and law enforcement during active crises.
๐ In Nigeria, they've become a tool of intimidation and entitlement.
๐ When everyone abuses the siren, the system collapses. People stop moving aside. Real emergencies get ignored.
๐ The law is clear but enforcement? Nonexistent.
WHO DOES THIS HURT?
๐ The mother in labour bleeding out in an ambulance
๐ The accident victim needing urgent surgery
๐ The fire spreading because the fire truck can't get through
๐ YOU !!! when it's your emergency and no one cares anymore
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
If you see siren abuse, call it out. Record it. Share it. Tag the authorities. Our lives depend on it.
๐ DROP A ๐จ IF YOU'VE WITNESSED SIREN ABUSE
Tag someone who needs to see this.
