Reports: Super Falcons Players Allege Theft of Cash at Team Hotel in Morocco

Several Super Falcons players have reportedly alleged that cash went missing from their rooms at the Marriott Hotel in Casablanca, Morocco, where the team is currently camped ahead of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

According to the reports, the players noticed that money was missing from their wallets and immediately informed team officials. The matter has since been reported to the hotel management, with an investigation said to be underway to establish the circumstances surrounding the alleged incident.

The reported amounts include:
• Esther Okoronkwo – $700
• Rasheedat Ajibade – $200
• Osinachi Ohale – $100
• Joy Omewa – $120
• Halimatu Ayinde – $100

The total amount reportedly involved is $1,220.

The Super Falcons remain in Casablanca as they continue preparations for the 2026 WAFCON, while the outcome of the investigation is awaited.
