LeBron James Signs With Philadelphia 76ers for Record 24th NBA Season

LeBron James has signed with the Philadelphia 76ers, ending weeks of speculation over his NBA future and extending his record-breaking career into a 24th season.

The 41-year-old, who spent eight seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers, admitted he initially believed he was done after the season ended. "I thought I was done when the season ended. I wasn't ready to announce it," James said, adding he still has "more to give."

James has signed a two-year, $8 million contract — a minimum deal — with championship ambitions clear. "I believe I can help make the Philadelphia 76ers a championship team," he said.

The NBA's all-time leading scorer and only active billionaire passed on approaches from Cleveland and Miami to choose Philadelphia for what is widely seen as the final chapter of his Hall of Fame career.
