I saw this image on IG and a lot crossed my mind...
Somewhere along the way, we've convinced ourselves that life is just an endless cycle of work, bills, responsibilities, and survival. We postpone happiness for "when things get better" and keep moving the finish line further away. Before we know it, years have passed and we've forgotten how to simply live.
There's nothing wrong with chasing success or building wealth, but life was never meant to be reduced to a bank balance. The memories we make, the people we love, the places we visit, and the moments we enjoy are just as important as the money we earn. I'll say this to you if you read to this stage - don't be afraid to spend money on concert tickets and travel. Be afraid of growing old and realizing the only place you ever went was work.
Having said all this, I'm curious: When was the last time you did something purely because it made you happy, not because it made you money or moved your career forward? I'd love to hear your answers.
