"They say time heals wounds. I disagree. Time doesn't always heal wounds; it often buries the evidence."
This is my thought.
The passing of time can make the tears stop, the scars fade, and the memories become less frequent. To the outside world, it may look like healing has taken place. But in many cases, what has really happened is that people have simply learned to live with the pain.
Time doesn't automatically fix betrayal, loss, rejection, or disappointment. It merely creates distance between us and the event. The evidence becomes buried beneath new responsibilities, fresh experiences, and silent endurance.
True healing comes from forgiveness, acceptance, self-reflection, growth, and sometimes difficult conversations. Without these, time only teaches us how to hide our pain, not necessarily how to overcome it.
Time changes the appearance of a wound, but what truly heals it is what you do with the time you're given.
I am Mild Uchenna and I believe time doesn't heal wounds.
