Africa's future will be shaped not only by its resources, but by the strength of its capital markets.

Speaking at the Royal African Society's 125th Anniversary Business Event at the London Stock Exchange, NGX Group Chairman, Umaru Kwairanga, outlined a vision for Africa built on stronger capital markets, regional integration, digital innovation, and greater mobilisation of domestic capital.

He argued that trusted, connected, and technology-driven markets will be critical to financing businesses, infrastructure, and entrepreneurship, while positioning Africa as a globally competitive investment destination.
