⚖️ Argentina proposes crypto and blockchain capital markets reform

Argentina's Deregulation Minister Federico Sturzenegger has introduced a sweeping legislative bill to modernize the country's capital markets framework by integrating digital assets and blockchain technology.

The proposed law would permit investment funds to allocate capital to digital assets, allow securities to be issued via decentralized technologies, and grant full legal validity to smart contracts — updating rules that have long been considered outdated.

If passed, the legislation would position Argentina as one of Latin America's more progressive jurisdictions for crypto-integrated financial markets, formalizing blockchain infrastructure within the country's regulated investment ecosystem.
