🇳🇬🇬 AWONIYI ON TARGET AS NOTTINGHAM FOREST CRUISE PAST BLACKBURN

Super Eagles striker Taiwo Awoniyi marked his return with a goal as Nottingham Forest defeated Blackburn Rovers 3-0 in an impressive pre-season friendly.

Awoniyi came on after the break and wore the captain’s armband throughout the second half, leading by example before getting his name on the scoresheet as Forest continued their preparations for the new campaign.

At the other end, fellow Nigerian Ryan Alebiosu featured for Blackburn Rovers, putting in a solid display during his 62 minutes on the pitch despite his side’s defeat.

A positive outing for both Nigerian stars as they continue building fitness and confidence ahead of the 2026/27 season.
