Good morning Lekeelekee family. Have you wondered and ponder, over our present condition in Nigeria? I'm a child of the 50s, from Lagos. Not present Lagos state, but Lagos island and mainland then. We didn't have electricity problem then. We get our news from a single station rediffusion (radio). The public's kept aware if there will be shut down of water or electricity, and at what time to what time. So we always make necessary preparation ahead of the schedule. Respect for elders was paramount in our society then. Everyone know each other within the perimeter of their neighborhoods. The adage that,"it takes a whole village to raise a child" was real then. How did we get to where we are today? In today's society, fear of God has travelled, it's been replaced by fear of man. Love has vanished, replaced by avarice. Respect has lost its luster. Dignity has lost its vision. Care for each other have been replaced with care for pocket (money). Humanity has been replaced with beastiality. Our cities have become jungles. Chaos and confusion have replaced peace and tranquility. The ones supposed to direct us conspire against us. Seriously folks, can our dear Nigeria survive all these dillema without breaking? And with all that we are still confronted with foreign opposition and oppression. Where would all these lead us? Have a restful and pleasant weekend folks.
