THE LION BUILDING MUST FALL: The Honest Strategy for NDC to Win Enugu in 2027

Ndi Enugu, time don reach. The heart of Coal City is heavy. This is no longer about party logo. It is about survival.

1. THE HONEST TRUTH WE ARE ALL WHISPERING

Ndi Enugu are exhausted. We are in our last breath.

The government led by Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah at Lion Building has turned governance into taxation without representation. The people no longer see good governance, they see task collectors.

A driver from another state enters Enugu with goods. He goes to buy government ticket, they tell him ticket sale closed by 11am. By 12pm, the same agency stops him on the road and extorts his entire day's labour. That is not Internally Generated Revenue. That is internally generated wickedness.

Yesterday, I was at Enugu State High Court. On my way back, I stood at WAEC bus stop to observe, as I always do. A man with an ash-coloured Toyota Corolla tried to stop just 2 meters after the bus stop. Immediately, state agents jumped out, locked his front tyre and slammed a twenty five thousand naira fine on him. At that same spot, buses and keke have blocked the entire road looking for passengers and nobody locks them. This is selective punishment. This is government against the people.

Then the political intimidation: No opposition campaign billboard in Enugu without paying ten million naira to the state government. That is not regulation. That is political strangulation. They want to use Enugu money to fund APC and use Enugu law to silence opposition.

That is why in the eyes of ordinary people, APC has become the worst political experience Ndi Enugu have had.

2. THE STRENGTH NDC HAS THAT APC DOES NOT HAVE

APC in Enugu is powerful but hated. NDC is not hated. That is your biggest strength.

APC is spending money, but the people they pay do not love them. NDC is loved by the suffering masses, but NDC is not yet organized. Listen to this wisdom: Love without structure cannot win. Money without love cannot last.

Your opportunity is here: Every keke driver extorted, every trader taxed to death, every driver whose tyre was locked at WAEC, every youth who cannot mount a billboard for his candidate, they are all ready-made NDC voters. You do not need to convince them APC failed. APC has already convinced them. You only need to prove NDC is ready to lead.

3. WHY NDC ENUGU IS FAILING ITSELF - MAKA CHEE

Maka chee, let us tell ourselves the truth.

Why is NDC Enugu leadership silent? I have not seen NDC Enugu granting interviews on television, on radio, in newspapers, in media chats. Politics is not done in secret. If you do not sell your party, nobody will buy it.

APC has a media team working 24 hours. NDC is doing closed-door meetings 4 to 5 times a week in the same LGA. Meetings bring setbacks when they become a ritual of redundancy.

Our people are tired. The economy is in a suffocating meltdown, a debilitating strangulation of the common man. The people attending your meetings are mostly middle-class citizens groaning under excruciating financial asphyxiation. They are battling exorbitant, heartbreaking transport fares to and fro, struggling to keep body and soul together, to feed their families, and still you call them to meetings every day without transport, without water, without hope. They will abandon you.

APC is recruiting the wisest and smartest men and women without leaving a single chance behind. NDC is waiting until campaign starts before picking the best. That is too late. NDC Enugu is waiting for Mr. Peter Obi wave to do the job. APC is paying people to do the job. My brothers, wave does not win election. Structure wins election.

If NDC does not take this golden advantage of a failed government and win, Ndi Enugu will conclude that NDC is working for the present government as an arranged opposition.

4. THE 7 PILLARS TO TAKE LION BUILDING IN 2027

PILLAR 1: End The Silence. Occupy The Airwaves.
Employ a real media team now. Not boys who insult people on Facebook. I mean strategists, writers, radio voices, lawyers, content creators. Every week NDC must be on Urban Radio, Dream FM, Solid FM, Afia TV. The Chairman, Publicity Secretary, Youth Leader must have a fixed timetable. When they lock tyre at WAEC, NDC must react with video by evening.

PILLAR 2: Structure Over Meetings.
Stop 5 meetings in one week. Build 260 ward structures. In all 260 wards across 17 LGAs, appoint one Ward Champion, one Woman Leader, one Youth Mobilizer. Give them target: register 20 credible new members monthly, hold one compound meeting, gather the pain of the people. One quality meeting a month with transport support is better than daily meetings that drain the poor.
