One thing I recently learned really got me thinking.
If someone suddenly dies in your house—maybe a friend came to sleep over or a visitor collapsed—don't be the one to conclude that the person is dead.
Your first reaction should be to call for emergency medical help or rush the person to the nearest hospital. Let a doctor or other qualified healthcare professional examine the person and make that decision. Sometimes, people who look lifeless can still be revived if they receive help quickly.
After that, cooperate with the authorities if necessary. If the situation is unusual or you have legal concerns, it's also wise to seek legal advice.
Many people panic and start saying, "He's dead!" or "She's dead!" But remember, you are not the one legally or medically responsible for confirming death.
In an emergency, every minute matters. The best thing you can do is stay calm, get medical help immediately, and let professionals do their job.
You may think the person is gone, but what if they still have a chance to survive?
