🌍 80 YEARS AGO, 50 NATIONS SAID "NEVER AGAIN." HERE'S WHAT THAT MEANT.

June 26, 1945. San Francisco.
50 nations gathered to sign the UN Charter. Not because they wanted to. Because they had to.
💀 75 million people had just died in World War II , the deadliest conflict in human history. 40 million of them were civilians. 6 million were murdered in the Holocaust. The Soviet Union alone lost 27 million lives. 3% of the entire world's population gone.
🔥 Cities were rubble. Families were shattered. Humanity had stared into the abyss.
And they made a choice.
The opening words of the Charter weren't bureaucratic fluff. They were a blood oath:
"To save succeeding generations from the scourge of war."
Not for one continent. Not for one civilization. For ALL of us.
📈 From 51 founding members in 1945 to 193 member states today nearly every nation on Earth.
From a world in ruins to a world with rules.
Was it perfect? No.
Did it stop every war? No.
But it gave us something we didn't have before: a table where every nation has a seat, and a promise that diplomacy would always come before destruction.
That promise was written in the ashes of 75 million souls.
Never forget what it cost to build it. Never stop fighting to keep it.
