Burkina Faso 🇧🇫, under the leadership of Captain Ibrahim Traoré, has taken another step toward greater energy independence.
Prime Minister Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo inaugurated a new 50 megawatt thermal power plant in Pabré, built in just 90 days through a public private partnership.
The plant is now supplying electricity to the national grid and is the first in a nationwide plan to build more thermal power plants.
The project aims to improve reliable electricity access, reduce dependence on imported power, and support the country's wider goal of energy sovereignty.
