@Ojyokpe A senator making a case for native doctors is not madness, it’s overdue. But if Nigeria is going to formally recognise traditional medicine, it must do it with serious regulation, scientific scrutiny, and clear boundaries, not vibes and ancestor talk.
Making a case for native doctors is not the problem; doing it carelessly is. Nigeria should recognise traditional medicine, but through evidence, regulation, and accountability, not just sentiment and jokes about ancestors. If we get it right, we protect both our culture and our people. If we get it wrong, we’ll be licensing confusion in the name of tradition.
