@Ojyokpe Allocating about ₦22.15 billion to build and renovate palaces in a country battling poverty, crumbling hospitals, and underfunded schools is not “culture preservation”, it’s a brutal display of distorted priorities. It tells you, very clearly, who the system is designed to make comfortable: elites, not ordinary Nigerians.

FG’s palace allocations are not just “controversial”, they are a clear statement of values: comfort for the powerful, survival for everyone else. Until Nigeria stops using the national budget to pamper elites and starts using it to fix schools, hospitals, roads, and security, we will keep living in a country where the palaces are modern, but the people outside them are struggling.
