@Ojyokpe Bago warning Fulani over kidnapping links is a necessary security stance, but it walks a dangerous line between targeting criminal networks and stigmatizing an entire ethnic group. If handled badly, it can deepen division and fuel resentment; if handled well, it can force real accountability on those shielding kidnappers.

Bago’s warning is a symptom of how bad insecurity has become: governors now call out whole communities just to shake loose the truth. The fight against kidnapping needs hard evidence, targeted arrests, and fair trials, not ethnic generalization. If Nigeria doesn’t separate crime from identity, we’ll end up with more tension and less justice.
