⚠️ Business owners, this is important.

The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has published a public notice of its intention to strike off some companies from its register.

If your company is on that list and you do nothing, it could eventually be removed from the CAC register.

This is a reminder for every company owner to check that their company is still compliant.

Here are a few things you should do:

✅ Check if your company is on the published list.

✅ If it is, don't panic. File your outstanding annual returns, update your company's records. Send evidence of compliance to the email address provided by the Commission. You have 90 days from the date the notice was published to take the required steps.

✅ If your company is not on the list, don't relax just yet. Check your company's status to be sure it is ACTIVE ✅ and not INACTIVE ❌. This is also a good time to confirm that your annual returns are up to date.

Don't wait until there's a problem.

➡File your annual returns when they are due, and keep a business lawyer in your corner. They can help you stay compliant with your legal obligations and avoid unnecessary penalties, fines, or even the risk of your company being struck off the register.‼️

If you would like to check your company's status but don't know where to start, or you need the link to do so, simply comment "CHECK" below and I'll send it to you.

If you have any questions about your company's compliance, feel free to drop them in the comments as well. I'll be happy to point you in the right direction.

Take a few minutes today to confirm your company's status. It could save you a lot of stress tomorrow.

Have you ever filed your company's annual returns, or is this your first time hearing about them? Let me know in the comments. 👇
