As you start your day, Isaiah 40:13 says, “But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles...” ---(1)

An eagle doesn’t reach the clouds by flapping its wings harder than a sparrow. It reaches them by finding a thermal (a rising column of warm air) and simply stretching out its wings to catch it. If the eagle tries to "work" its way to 10,000 feet, it will collapse from exhaustion.

In life, we often try to "flap" our way through our problems. We work harder, worry more, and try to control every outcome. This leads to burnout. Today, practicing "waiting on the Lord" means stop flapping. It means identifying the "wind" of God’s grace and trusting Him to lift you.🙏🏽
