๐ Zilliqa halts transactions over 2019 Ledger app bug
Zilliqa has suspended native transactions after disclosing a critical security vulnerability in its Ledger hardware wallet app that dates back to 2019.
The flaw allows attackers to reconstruct a signer's private keys using publicly available onchain signature data โ meaning funds could be at risk for any Zilliqa user who has signed transactions with a Ledger device. The bug has reportedly existed undetected since 2019.
Zilliqa users with Ledger-linked wallets should avoid signing new transactions until an official fix is confirmed by the team.
