Bitcoin Long-Term Holder Supply Reaches New All-Time High

Bitcoin's long-term holder (LTH) supply hit a fresh record on July 21, continuing a trend that had already pushed the metric to 16.64 million BTC — roughly 83% of circulating supply — a month prior.

Long-term holders are defined as wallets that have held bitcoin for at least 155 days. The current accumulation cycle has been building for approximately 2.5 years, reflecting sustained conviction among a segment of the market that has chosen not to sell through multiple price swings.

With more than four-fifths of circulating supply locked in long-term wallets, the share available for active trading on exchanges remains historically constrained.
