EA-Proshare: Nigeria's Minimum Wage Cannot Cover a Minimum Diet in Most States — Q2 2026 Household Cost Review

Nigeria's national inflation number says one thing. The household data says another. A new EA-Proshare review of Q2 2026 state-level costs finds that a minimum-wage earner in Lagos spends over four-fifths of their monthly income on the minimum daily diet alone before energy, transport or dependants. PMS rose 51.80% between February and May 2026.
