Don't just marry an adult, marry someone who is emotionally mature.
A mature partner admits when they're wrong, apologizes sincerely, and seeks peace over pride. An immature partner turns every disagreement into a never-ending argument, bringing up old issues instead of resolving the current one.
Marriage thrives where humility is stronger than ego.
