Nigeria Awards 37 Oil Blocks to 31 Firms in 2025 Licensing Round

The Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) has awarded 37 oil and gas blocks to 31 companies, concluding a licensing round designed to boost the country's crude output and grow its hydrocarbon reserves.

The winners were announced at a commercial bid conference in Abuja, capping an eight-month process.
