@Anusha said "You can't keep setting yourself on fire just to keep everyone else warm."
well, For a long time, many people believed that putting themselves first meant they were proud, uncaring, or selfish. But the truth is, taking care of yourself is one of the healthiest things you can do.
Self-love isn't about thinking you're better than everyone else. It's about knowing your worth, protecting your peace, and taking care of your physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
You can't pour from an empty cup.
When you're constantly exhausted, emotionally drained, or neglecting your own health while trying to please everyone else, you eventually have nothing left to give. Rest isn't laziness. Saying "no" isn't wickedness. Setting boundaries doesn't make you a bad person.
As someone who values health, I've come to realize that self-love also means eating well, getting enough sleep, seeking medical care when you're unwell, exercising, and giving yourself grace when life gets overwhelming.
Remember, if you don't take care of yourself, it becomes much harder to care for the people you love.
So today, choose yourself—not out of selfishness, but out of wisdom.
Because self-love is not selfish; it's self-respect.
