There was a time when I thought saying "yes" to everyone made me a good person... I'd show up for people, answer every call, put everyone else's needs before my own, and convince myself that I was doing the right thing. But slowly, I started feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, and honestly... a little lost.

One day, someone told me, "You can't keep setting yourself on fire just to keep everyone else warm." That stayed with me.

I began doing small things that felt uncomfortable at first.. saying no without explaining myself, taking breaks when I needed them, spending time alone without feeling guilty, and speaking to myself with the same kindness I offered everyone else.

It wasn't selfish. It was healing.

The truth is, self-love isn't about choosing yourself instead of others. It's about choosing yourself too. Because when your cup is full, you love better. You give better. You live better. If you've been waiting for permission to rest, to set boundaries, or to put yourself first once in a while, this is it. You matter just as much as the people you're always trying to take care of. ❤️
