Matthew 26:7 There came unto him a woman having an alabaster box of very precious ointment, and poured it on his head, as he sat at meat.
The woman with the Alabaster box pour on Jesus what was most valuable to her.
She gave to Jesus a very expensive ointment.
History has it that the ointment was worth a year’s salary but she gave it to Jesus.
The woman at the treasury.
Mark 12:41 And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much. 
Vs 42 And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing. 
Vs 43 And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury:
The widow cast in all she had. That was worth much more that what others gave.
It is not wrong to give all you have to meet the needs of others.
Luke 8:2 And certain women, which had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils, 
Vs 3 And Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others, which ministered unto him of their substance.

These women accompanying Jesus gave of their substance to him. They supported his ministry with what they had.
Acts 2:45 And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.

They sold their goods and ensured everyone had their needs met.
The scriptures give us enough examples of giving that we ought to emulate.
