La Liga's Tebas Calls on Infantino to Resign as FIFA President
La Liga president Javier Tebas has publicly called for FIFA president Gianni Infantino to step down, accusing the world governing body of "destroying the football industry."
Speaking to Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, Tebas said: "In my opinion, yes, I think his time is up."
The La Liga chief directed his criticism at FIFA's direction following the 2026 World Cup, with particular frustration over reports that the 2030 World Cup could be expanded further.
Tebas has been one of European football's most vocal critics of FIFA's expansion agenda, which he argues is damaging the club game.
