It pains me whenever human behavior is reduced to gender stereotypes.

Statements like, "When a woman has more money than her husband, she becomes proud," misses the real issue.

Pride is not male or female. It is one of the easiest shadows wealth can cast over anyone. Whether a man or a woman, money has a way of magnifying what is already in the heart. It takes character, humility, and self-awareness to have wealth without becoming proud. Those qualities or the lack of them can often be seen long before money arrives, if only we pay attention.

So if a woman becomes proud after acquiring wealth, the problem is not that she is a woman with money; the problem is pride. The money simply amplified what was already there. By the same logic, should we excuse a man who is proud simply because he has more money? Of course not. Before we generalize and condemn a dynamic that is not inherently harmful, we should be mature enough to examine it logically.

We all strive to be productive and create value. There is no law of life that says a man must always earn more than his wife. A wife's financial success does not diminish her husband's manhood, just as a husband's financial success should not diminish his wife's worth.

Let's stop blaming gender for what is ultimately a matter of character
