I say, “I’m grateful,” a lot.

Not always because I feel overflowing with gratitude in that moment, but because I’ve learned that gratitude has a way of reminding you of what you’ve forgotten—that things could be much worse, but they aren’t.

Sometimes, saying it is enough to shift your perspective and help you appreciate what is, instead of dwelling on what isn’t.

So yes, I’m grateful.
