When my father fess become branch pastor. The first branch wey dem carry us go, no reach three weeks na him we do holy Communion.

The bread dey very thick for mouth, but the taste make sense. But na the wine make sense pass.

When we finish, my papa tell me make ai keep the remaining for office. And na inside dish e dey, dem cover am. Me I think say na remnant.

As I fess place am for table, I don comot like seven put for pocket. I go outside go chop am. My broda cash me, I dash am one. The bread dey small small, dem don slice am like say na chin chin, but e big pass chinchin.

The second time,I go alone. I see one usher for office, I use style wait. When she comot, I pack like ten, Japa. My broda don dey wait. We share am 6-4! We chop am.

We wey be say we no chop that morning, wey hunger don make our belle shrink. We no dey chop for Sunday morning. E never happen before. Na after service.

My broda say make we drink wine too. Naso me and my broda, sneak enter office. I fess pour for him. E drink. I pour my own, he say e too much. I drink my own, pour some for him to balance. E drink. I beg am make I drink small because the bread choke me for throat. He gree. Naso we end up drinking two cups each oh. Wine come remain small.

As we dey comot, we carry five five bread, use am do take away. Bread remain like six.

As we dey chop the last round, for outside, na him bike carry one broda come. Na headquarters he dey do deacon. We quick hide the bread for pocket. We greet the man, he ask of our daddy, we say e dey inside church. He enter.

After oh, I just hear Dapo!! Naso I run enter. "Sir"? My broda follow me.

"Oya, go carry the holy communion come, give broda Emmanuel. It's for Gowon Estate branch"

My papa stand up. He know say we don commit crime with our reaction. He look my broda belle. Because that one, him belle no dey waste time. Any small food, e don shoot out.

My papa say "Wetin you chop"?

My papa say "Buredi wo"?(Which bread?)

He no remember the name of wetin we do, say "Holy Communion" he say "Praise tha Lord bread"

Wine don pour for him shirt. My papa say "na your blood be that"!?

"No sir, 😢 praise tha Lord, wine"
