#whatstrendingwithojyokpe Nigeria was a significant supporter of the struggle against apartheid and has long advocated African solidarity. That history strengthens its moral authority to condemn xenophobia. However, real progress will be measured not by speeches at ECOWAS or the African Union, but by whether African governments consistently protect people regardless of nationality, hold perpetrators accountable, and ensure that every African can live and work safely anywhere on the continent.
