HOW I WISH NIGERIANS KNOW THEIR RIGHTS AND THE POWER OF CITIZENS TOWARDS NATION BUILDING.
It is worrisome that the citizens of this federal republic docility is getting out of hand by the day. These includes the lettered and unlettered population.
A fake agency got allocation into the national budget 2026. This clearly shows how the federal government and the national assembly have failed the nation.
Instead of the citizens to ask the federal government and the national assembly instructive questions, they are mum and mute on the case.
The civil society in this federal republic are not civil at all.
Currently, the federal government through ICPC is investigating same issue it failed to identified.
The national assembly is also investigating the matter.
In my purview, both the federal government and national assembly have failed the nation.
Budget office under the federal government prepared the budget.
The president let me assume it was an oversight sent the budget to the national assembly for vetting.
Instead of national assembly to thoroughly vet and scrutinized the budget. The blindly stood on the mandate of the president and failed to do the job their constituents voted them to do in Abuja.
I want Nigerians to learn from this mess. Supporting the president and his party as national assembly or citizens doesn't stop you from carrying out your constitutional duties judiciously under oath properly.
The federal government prepared the budget. The national assembly had the chance to scrutinized the budget and point out errors. But they both failed and now both of them are investigating the failure they both sponsored. What a dysfunctional system and demystified reality while Nigerians are mum. This is intellectually sickening.
