I AM DEEPLY AND TRULY CONCERNED OVER THE UNDERWHELMING AND DESPONDENT DISPOSITIONS OF THE JUDICIARY IN NIGERIA.
Last week, Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) held it election.
A woman emerged as the winner.
The case is currently in court as one of the contestants described the process as a "shambolic shame on the bar" while another said it's a "height of judicial manipulation".
The point is, 2027 elections are by the corner. Those who will handle the post electoral cases can't conduct a credible election.
If these set of people who ordinarily ought to be above bar are found wanting. How can they now pass good verdicts?
My friend Barr Mike Igini have lamented how since 1960, the judiciary through the military and civilians administrations have destroyed the sap of justice.
Why can't the lawyers learn. Prof Chidi Odinkanu SAN have lamented time and again how shameful it is for the judiciary to be collecting houses from federal government.
If those people who will oversee next election are collecting houses built by Wike on behalf of the federal government, how can they stand for the truth when cases come to their courts.
If gold rust what will iron do? How can the excesses of the judiciary be corrected to promote our paths towards national growth and development?
