Sometimes I am perplexed by the decisions of our courts.
Someone should please help me make sense of the life imprisonment sentence handed to Abubakar Abba, also known as Abu Bara’a, and Mahmud Usman, alias Isah Adam/Mahmud, commanders of the Ansaru terrorist group who pleaded guilty to a 32-count terrorism charge filed against them by the DSS.
Why pamper such deadly characters who have wreaked havoc across the country and killed Nigerians mercilessly with a life sentence when the stiffer penalty of death has not being abolished?
Anything short of the capital punishment for such characters is totally unacceptable. Terrorist must be made to know that the consequences of their action is death.
