JUST IN: Part of Lamine Yamal story with his dear mother.

His mother was just 16 when she had him. A child raising a child.

His father was a young immigrant from Morocco chasing a better life in Spain. Before Lamine was born, they had almost nothing. Two neighbors stepped in to help them survive, and they named him after them: Lamine and Yamal.

His father took whatever jobs he could find. They lived in Rocafonda, one of the poorest neighborhoods in Catalonia.

At just six years old, Barcelona scouts spotted him playing and took him to La Masia—the same academy that produced Messi, Xavi, and Iniesta.

At 15, he became Barcelona’s youngest debutant in more than 100 years.

And now at 19, he’s a World Cup champion and Euro Nations cup to his name as well.
What a story of this lad.
