Like the Bereans, I choose to listen carefully and search the Scriptures daily to see whether these things are so (Acts 17:11).
If you want to understand salvation in the light of the finished work of Christ, listen.
If you long to develop a genuine passion for reading and studying your Bible rather than relying solely on religious traditions, listen.
If you desire to serve God free from the burdens of legalism, condemnation, and performance, but with the joy of the gospel and the confidence of your identity in Christ, listen.
Don’t reject a teaching because of popular opinion, assumptions, or hearsay. Test every teaching by the Scriptures. Let the Word of God not tradition, personalities, or human opinions be your final authority.
The goal is not to become a disciple of any preacher. The goal is to become a disciple of Christ. If a teacher consistently points you to Christ and equips you to understand the Scriptures for yourself, that is worth paying attention to.
As the apostle Peter wrote:
“Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To Him be glory both now and forever. Amen.” — 2 Peter 3:18

May the Lord help us 🙏
This really got me 💯
As the saying goes 'Know Christ for yourself" not always what Papa or Bishop of G.O says.
Study to shew thyself approved
Thank you for this insightful teaching
The best teachers are those who point us to Christ and the Scriptures, not themselves.
Thank you for this reminder.
